3 Positive Things your Dog Can Teach You

Gary Vaynerchuck, a famous entrepreneur and motivator once said, “you won the lotto of the universe, which is, you’re the human on earth.”

Mel Robbins, who wrote the famous book: 5 second rule, stated that the odd that you were born to become who you are today is 1/400,000,000,000. You’re really lucky.

As humans, we’re capable of doing so many things. We can communicate. We can have fun. We create things. Additionally, we’re on the top of the food chain. However, sometimes we just don’t realize how lucky we are.

Being humans, we tend to worry about numerous things and we’re stressed out about nonsense that we cannot control. I find that most people are upset about not having enough friends, money or power.

You may laugh at this but we can take a look at our dogs for a second. All they ever have is you, as their best friend. Nevertheless, I’ve never seen a dog that is unhappy. If you feel like you’re sad most of the time, there is definitely something that you can learn from your dog. Here’re 3 positive things your dog can teach you:

1. Be excited

Your dog is always excited to see you. My dog, Ollie, always jumps all over me when I come home. What’s not to be excited? You’re going to see your best friend in the end of the day. You should be excited too. Sometimes we take things for granted. Having a dog as a best friend is a great thing. We should celebrate it everyday.

Dogs are super happy when they are outside. Ollie is an Australian Shepherd and he is so active. When we bring him to the dog park, he will out-run all of his friends there.

Personally, I find running enjoyable. It’s not only good for your body, but it also helps you clear up your mind and stay happy.

3. Forgiveness

Unfortunately, it’s hard for dogs to pay attention to things for a long time. Nevertheless, they learn to enjoy every moment of their life. They’re happy to see you. They will come back to you and give you kisses all day.

Dogs are such loving creatures and we can learn a lot from them. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think.

  1. I think I need to learn to be more forgiving especially in these days. I just can’t easily forgive and if I spend more with dogs maybe I can learn one thing or two.

  4. Hi there, you are right, we have a lot to learn form our furry friends, another thing I’d like to add is how faithful they are, dogs don’t care if you are rich, poor or ugly, they will be always there for you no matter what.

  5. Hello,, what a lovely and refreshing article. Made me feel happy reading this. Dogs are so loving, they really do have unconditional love.

Our little doggy is also so happy,,, she’s a funny thing. She longs for my attention all day and yet runs away from the kids. Yet they are the ones that want to give her attention. I think dogs can teach us, humans, many things.

    A great read, thanks.

  6. Great post!

Sometimes I tend to forget about those benefits that a dog can bring you! If I may add, I believe that a dog can also teach you a thing or two about friendliness and loyalty. Since many dogs are loyal only to their owners only :)!
